Job summary

Tom Gill Chevrolet is seeking a dependable Service Lane Porter / Inspector to join the Service Department in Hamilton, Ohio. The role supports Service Advisors during check-in, conducts basic vehicle inspections, and keeps the service drive orderly to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable engaging with customers and dealership staff.
• Basic knowledge of automobiles is a plus but not required.
• Previous dealership experience is helpful, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Advisors with vehicle check-in and write-up.
• Help complete initial vehicle inspections.
• Perform basic visual inspections for damage, tires, lights, and indicators.
• Safely park and move customer vehicles around the lot.
• Help manage flow of vehicles entering and leaving the Service Department.
• Retrieve customer vehicles and bring them to the Service Drive for pickup.
• Assist with customer vehicle deliveries when needed.
• Maintain an organized Service Drive and surrounding areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Provide a professional and courteous experience for every customer.
• Support daily Service Department needs with the team.
