Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. in Tampa, FL is hiring for a front-line associate responsible for customer service at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.

You will engage customers, schedule appointments, and upsell parts and services to keep vehicles running at peak efficiency. You will handle transactions, assist with vehicle inspections, and support management in daily store operations while following company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• At least one year of related experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience is preferred.
• Basic math skills to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for customers by phone or in-store; schedule appointments, upsell parts/services, and explain timelines.
• Maintain service desk and register transactions; assist with vehicle inspections and knowledge of parts/services.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, store operations, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Adhere to cash, credit, refunds, and return policies; address customer issues with management.
• Perform express services: tire mounting, balancing, oil changes, and vehicle inspections.
• Uphold safety procedures and keep the shop organized and clean.
