Firkins Automotive in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Service Consultant to join a busy automotive service department. You will be the primary contact for customers, blending technical knowledge with strong communication to ensure a transparent, high-quality service experience.

This full-time role offers a lucrative pay plan ($60,000–$120,000 potential) and benefits including a pre-tax 401(k) match and medical insurance packages.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or related customer-facing automotive role.
• Strong working knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Comfortable using service software and communicating via phone, text, and email.

Service Consultant Responsibilities

• Greet service customers warmly and guide them through the repair process with clarity and care
• Accurately write repair orders based on customer concerns and technician diagnosis
• Communicate proactively with others and set expectations, provide updates, and follow up
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repair status
• Work well with others, cross-departmentally and in the best interest of everyone
• Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly language
• Handle multiple service appointments with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Monitor repair timelines and customer satisfaction, aiming for timely delivery and high CSI scores
• Help identify additional service needs and promote preventative maintenance plans

Service Consultant Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or related customer-facing automotive role
• Strong working knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Willing to complete pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Comfortable using service software and communicating via phone, text, and email
• Chrysler experience a plus
