Job summary

Firkins Automotive in Bradenton, Florida is seeking a Service Consultant to join a fast-paced, customer-focused department. You will greet customers, write repair orders, and coordinate with technicians to keep repairs moving smoothly, while ensuring clear communication and exceptional service throughout every visit.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in a service advisory role, strong vehicle knowledge, and are comfortable using service software.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or related customer-facing automotive role.
• Strong automotive knowledge and repair process understanding.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug screening.
• Proficient using service software and communicating via phone, text, and email.
• Chrysler experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers warmly and guide them through the repair process with clarity and care
• Accurately write repair orders based on customer concerns and technician diagnosis
• Communicate proactively with others and set expectations, provide updates, and follow up
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repair status
• Work well with others, cross-departmentally and in the best interest of everyone
• Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly language
• Handle multiple service appointments with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Monitor repair timelines and customer satisfaction, aiming for timely delivery and highCSI scores
• Help identify additional service needs and promote preventative maintenance plans
