Firkins Automotive in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a Service Consultant for a very busy Automotive Service Department. Applicants must be able to commute to Bradenton, or relocate to the area.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or related customer-facing automotive role.
• Strong working knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Comfortable using service software and communicating via phone, text, and email.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers and guide them through the repair process with clarity.
• Accurately write repair orders based on customer concerns and technician diagnosis.
• Communicate proactively with others and set expectations, provide updates, and follow up.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repair status.
• Work well with others, cross-departmentally and in the best interest of everyone.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly language.
• Handle multiple service appointments with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Monitor repair timelines and customer satisfaction, aiming for timely delivery and high CSI scores.
• Help identify additional service needs and promote preventative maintenance plans.
