Responsibilities

• Inspect each service repair order and/or parts invoice for accuracy and legibility.
• Transfer repair order data from hardcopy to electronic form; reconcile orders.
• Calculate material charges for each repair order.
• Compute total retail price for parts, fluids, labor and taxes; enter on repair order.
• Collect the total charges from the customer in cash, check, or charge account.
• Provide customer with change and receipts.
• Document charge purchases per office policy.
• Calculate and enter warranty charges.
• Complete the accounting section of the repair order as directed by management.
• Accumulate all closed repair orders and parts invoices daily.
• Maintain labor rate control forms as directed by management.
• Handle cash in/out in the money box daily.
• Manage keys; return to customers when paid and direct to vehicle.
• File repair orders as directed by service dept management.
• Answer service department calls; transfer or take messages when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
