Job summary

Precision Honda in Downey, CA is seeking a Service Department Cashier to handle customer payments for service and parts invoices and to support daily clerical tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The role includes posting payments, reconciling cash, and maintaining secure, accurate records. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; Tekion experience is a plus. Training and benefits are offered as part of a professional team.

Qualifications

• Experience handling payments (cash, credit, checks) and POS systems.
• Proficient with basic computer programs (MS Word/Excel).
• Able to read and follow instructions accurately and quickly.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Service Department Cashier is responsible for preparing records, accepting payment in forms of cash/credit card/checks or outside funding. Administering in-house rental vehicles though software provided by the dealership. Clerical duties to be performed, may include, but not limited to: filing, data in-put, scanning, etc, . .

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Receive and process payments for service and parts invoices.
• Efficiently and effectively coordinate with advisors to ensure proper payments.
• Accurately post payments and close repair orders using dealership management software.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions.
• Handle cash, credit card, check, and electronic payment transactions securely and accurately.
• Communicates issues that arise while performing general work duties.
• Ensure repair order document storage complies with established corporate, legal and manufacturer’s retention requirements.
• Support service department operations with filing, administrative tasks, and customer communication as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Must possess strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
• Money-handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible work hours availability is necessary.
• Bilingual English / Spanish is preferred.

Compensation

Salary: $17.50 / hour
