Laura Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor in Illinois. You will greet customers, listen to concerns, document vehicle information, and prepare accurate repair orders with estimates.

You will communicate progress, obtain authorization for additional work, and maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Must have prior service advising and sales experience with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Service Advising experience required.
• Prior sales experience preferred.
• General service technical knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Competent in Word, Excel, and CRM databases.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner and obtain vehicle information.
• Greet customers, document concerns, and perform vehicle walk-arounds.
• Identify mechanical issues through customer communication, inspection, and road tests.
• Consult with customers regarding inspection results and recommend repair procedures.
• Prepare accurate repair orders with labor, time, and cost estimates.
• Explain repair findings and charges to customers clearly.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Monitor repair progress and provide updates to customers.
• Contact customers about changes in estimates or additional repairs and obtain authorization.
• Review and close repair orders, ensuring proper documentation and customer satisfaction.
