Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of San Diego is seeking a Service Advisor to sell and schedule necessary service work in the service department, upholding dealership standards for superior workmanship.

You will greet customers, accurately write up vehicle problems on repair orders, perform test drives as needed, and provide clear written cost estimates. You will explain charges, obtain signatures, and coordinate with the service and parts teams to ensure timely, quality repairs.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer and vehicle data
• Greets customers promptly and conducts telephone transactions
• Writes up customers' vehicle problems on repair orders
• Test drives the vehicle with customer when needed to confirm the problem
• Explains completed work and all charges to the customer
• Closes repair orders and ensures proper authorization for additional work
• Coordinates with parts department to pull and post the correct parts
• Maintains safety, PPE, and compliance with policies and procedures
• Handles customer inquiries about appointments and work in progress
