Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to schedule service work and upsell services in the service department. You will greet customers, collect data, and communicate repair plans while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes accurate estimates, professional presentation, and consistent follow-up to ensure a smooth service experience for clients in Michigan. We value teamwork and a service-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional personal appearance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years or more experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CSI rating as set by service manager.
• Maintain standard for hours per customer repair order written.
• Greet customers warmly and gather vehicle data.
• Test-drive vehicle as necessary.
• Advise customers on care and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect for additional repair needs under the hood.
• Explain repair instructions and main reasons for visits.
• Provide labor and parts estimates; open estimates if needed.
• Obtain payment method approval; secure customer signatures.
• Follow up on repairs and communicate changes to customers.
• Handle inquiries about work in process and appointments.
• Compare final invoice with initial repair order.
• Analyze quality control to reduce comebacks.
• Deliver vehicle and answer questions.
• Maintain follow-up on additional items found.
• Build strong customer relationships for repeat business.
• Keep work and waiting areas clean.
