Job summary

East Bay BMW in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking a Service Advisor to sell, identify, and document service, maintenance, and repair work for customers and to schedule service to be performed. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, strong customer service, and teamwork with the service staff.

You will collaborate with technicians to determine required services, advise customers on recommendations, estimate costs, and explain estimates to customers while maintaining CSI and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries.
• Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Identify required maintenance with customer and technician.
• Advise customers on necessary and recommended services.
• Offer additional services and repairs to customers.
• Compute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer.
• Estimate cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs.
• Enter itemized estimate on service order and explains estimate to customer.
• Schedules appointments with customer.
• Meets dealership’s standards for repair and order production.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
