Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Timonium, MD is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor (Advisor 1, Car Care Customer Service & Sales). The role connects customers with in-shop technicians, delivers exceptional service, and drives sales through effective communication and problem solving.

Starting pay is $22.55 per hour with opportunities for uncapped monthly bonuses and contests. Full-time benefits include health coverage, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in automotive industry or 3+ years in a fast paced environment with sales and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of automotive technology and ability to communicate it to customers and technicians.
• ASE Certification is a plus, but not required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Background and drug screenings may be required if offered the position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments promptly and courteously.
• Review repairs and services with customers to ensure understanding of the work performed.
• Notify customers of deviations from estimates or delays in vehicle pickup.
• Record approvals for repair orders and any additional costs.
• Distribute work to shop technicians and monitor progress and accuracy.
• Provide information to technicians as needed.
• Arrange repairs and payment for vehicles under extended warranty programs.
• Coordinate towing or alternate transportation per TRC standards.
• Monitor vehicle inspection dates to meet due dates.
• Explain manufacturer recommended service intervals to customers.
