Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to be the primary link between customers and in-shop technicians at our Glen Burnie location. The base pay starts at $23.65 per hour, with uncapped monthly performance bonuses and additional incentives.

This role ensures customers understand services, communicates any cost/time changes, and coordinates with technicians to deliver timely repairs. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, automotive knowledge, strong

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred, or three years in a fast-paced environment with sales and customer satisfaction track record.
• Knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to explain it to customers and technicians.
• ASE Service Advisor Certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer calls and schedule appointments promptly and courteously.
• Review repairs/services with customers to confirm understanding and approvals.
• Notify customers of any deviation from estimates for cost/time.
• Assign work to shop technicians and monitor progress for accuracy.
• Arrange repairs and payment for vehicles under extended warranty programs.
• Coordinate towing or alternate transportation when needed per TRC standards.
• Monitor vehicle inspection dates and remind customers of due service intervals.

As an Advisor 1, Car Care Customer Service & Sales, we can offer you:The starting base compensation for this position is $23.65 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.In addition to your hourly compensation, Service Advisors are also eligible for additional income through our uncapped monthly performance bonus as well as various spiffs and contests that run throughout the year!What our Advisor 1, Car Care Customer Service and Sales associates do:Greet customers, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments in a prompt and courteous manner.Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the services performed. Contact customer any time there is a deviation from the original estimate of cost or time when the vehicle will be ready for pickup. Note the name and time of approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs.Distribute work to all shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job. Supply information on request to technicians, as needed. Arrange for repairs and payment for vehicles that are covered by extended warranty programs.Arrange towing and/or alternate transportation such as shuttle or rental vehicle when necessary in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards.Monitor inspection dates of vehicles in system to ensure the inspections are completed before due dates.
