Job summary

Berman Kia of Lincolnwood is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our growing team. This full-time role combines customer service with automotive knowledge to deliver accurate service recommendations and clear estimates.

You will greet customers, document their concerns, prepare labor and parts estimates, and coordinate service with technicians to ensure timely, quality repairs. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Service Writing experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented and accurate documentation.
• Proficient in computer systems and automotive service software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record (minimum 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
• Gather customer and vehicle information.
• Listen to concerns and document service needs accurately.

Schedule: Full Time

Compensation: $100,000+ annually (base salary + commission position)

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival
• Gather customer and vehicle information
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs
• Recommend maintenance based on vehicle age, mileage, and history
• Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts
• Keep customers updated on repair status and timelines
• Clearly explain completed work and associated costs
• Coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion
• Work closely with technicians, parts staff, and team members to ensure a smooth workflow

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Service Writing experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and earn customer trust
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service needs and recommendations
• Proficient in computer systems and automotive service software
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
