Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a store team member to engage customers at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register. You’ll deliver product and service knowledge, schedule appointments, and work with the team to meet customer needs and drive parts and services that keep cars running smoothly.

The role emphasizes building trust, handling transactions, performing express automotive services, maintaining safety and organization, and supporting management to create a positive, compliant store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers by phone and in-store. Engage customers, schedule appointments, upsell parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions; knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, and store operations; maintain facility.
• Follow cash, credit, check, refund, and return policies; resolve customer issues with management support.
• Perform express automotive services (tires, oil changes, fluid top-offs, inspections) and safety procedures.
• Maintain organized, clean shop and safe work environment; adhere to company policies.
