Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services at the service desk, sales floor, and register. You will handle day-to-day interactions, maintain store appearance, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, basic math for discounts, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in-store and on the phone; engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services.
• Organize and maintain service business through work orders, register transactions, inspections, and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, register tasks, and store cleanliness.
• Follow all cash, credit, refund, and return policies; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Perform express automotive services (tires, oil changes, etc.) and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with associates and customers; support opening/closing duties and keep shop organized.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules; other duties as assigned.
