Automotive Sales Manager - Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Inc

Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Inc, a proud member of the VIP Automotive Group of Long Island, is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. Known for our exceptional leadership and customer-focused culture, we offer a professional work environment, continuous training, and the opportunity to grow within one of Long Island's most successful auto groups.

Full-Time Opportunity: 5/6 Day Work Week

Weekend Availability Required

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 plus - (inclusive of commission and bonuses)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and support the Sales Team to achieve sales goals.
  • Supervise and manage the sales team’s daily activities, including prospecting and networking to acquire new customers.
  • Utilize strong desking skills to assist in deal structuring and closing.
  • Ensure all deals comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Train, motivate, and coach the sales team for peak performance.
  • Manage and maintain the customer database to support sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with General Management for deal turnovers and effective operations.
  • Promote the success of the company, dealership, and sales staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Sales Manager experience within an automotive dealership.
  • Proven track record of strong closing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of CDK, VinSolutions, and AutoAlert.
  • Ability to train and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent understanding and execution of dealership sales processes.
  • Experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume sales department.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years in a dealership management role.
