Job summary

Gil-Mar Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer in Livonia, MI to build and maintain relationships with procurement and engineering teams, identify sales opportunities, and provide technical expertise to support the sales process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in technical sales or business development within the automotive industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the client’s supply chain by staying informed about product needs, upcoming projects, and industry trends.
• Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of our automotive parts and how they meet client requirements; provide technical advice and solutions to engineering teams.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and account plan, including target setting, forecasting, and action plans to achieve sales objectives and maximize revenue.
• Prepare compelling proposals and quotations in collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance teams.
• Negotiate and close contracts with client procurement teams.
• Serve as a technical liaison, addressing post-sales inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Consult with customers to identify challenges and provide effective solutions; communicate ROI of Gil-Mar solutions.
• Support new business development and articulate Gil-Mar’s value proposition to prospective clients.
