Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations of a NAPA retail store in a fast-paced environment. You will lead customer-facing sales, inventory health, and team development while ensuring store standards and continuity.

This role offers a developmental pathway to becoming a Store Manager, with potential overtime and keyholder responsibilities for opening/closing the store. A strong automotive mindset and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or trade school courses or degree completion.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience.
• Passion for delivering customer care and building long-term relationships.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• May have direct influence and responsibility for direct reports and labor planning impact.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling input, compliance documentation, performance tracking, basic P&L awareness.
• Monitor core store metrics and problem-solve to improve outcomes.
• Provide leadership, training and performance management for flexible execution of all store functions.
