Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to apply automotive knowledge and customer service excellence to drive store performance and lead the team in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the Store Manager across all store functions, including counter sales, inventory, receiving, delivery coordination, and daily operations. The role may require overtime and keyholder duties opening/closing the store to sustain service and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical courses or degree desirable.
• Experience in automotive after-market or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Customer care focus and relationship-building.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Store management or supervisory experience in retail or automotive.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory, labor scheduling.
• Lead and coach team to meet performance and continuity standards.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation, and safety.
• Monitor store metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform or delegate administrative tasks and basic P&L awareness.
