Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager across all functions, while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities.

You will lead daily operations, drive inventory accuracy, coordinate scheduling, and coach team members to ensure a professional, safe, and high-performing retail environment.

This role offers a developmental path to Store Manager, requires adaptability in a fast-paced setting, and involves overtime as needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or trade school coursework or degree completion.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience.
• Customer care focus and relationship building.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels (in-store, phone, and external dealer/wholesale calls as needed).
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, facility readiness).
• Monitor core store metrics and drive problem solving for improvements.
