Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to supervise daily store operations in Olathe, KS. You will lead customer service, sales, shop management, and office duties while upholding company programs and policies.

You will train staff, promote services, and help achieve budgeted sales and profitability. The role requires strong communication, math skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain state Vehicle Inspection license within one year of hire.
• Experience in retail or automotive sales/service preferred.
• Ability to learn concepts and use technical materials.
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Computer and office productivity proficiency.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license for moving customer vehicles.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and after hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and staff to deliver positive experiences.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of location.
• Oversee store operations including customer service, sales, shop and office duties.
• Promote sales by explaining product/service benefits.
• Perform vehicle inspections and prioritize necessary services for customers.
• Assist in training and implementing company programs and policies.
• Support budgeted sales, gross profit, expenses and payroll objectives.
• Analyze profit loss statements and payroll projections with Store Manager.
• Monitor staff productivity and inventory replenishment.
