Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, an MFA Oil subsidiary, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a Big O Tires location in Kansas. You will supervise daily operations, drive customer service excellence, and support staff to achieve store goals.

You will help open/close the store, manage sales and inventory, train teammates, and assist the Store Manager with financials and reporting while upholding company programs and policies.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain the state appropriate Motor Vehicle Inspection license within one year of hire.
• Previous experience in retail or automotive sales or service.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averages and percentages.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with customers and staff to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Open and close the location based on store hours.
• Perform all store operations including customer service, sales, shop management and office responsibilities.
• Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers.
• Perform vehicle inspections and promote needed products and services to customers and management.
• Assist in training and the execution of all company programs, policies, and procedures.
• Guide staff in resolving difficult questions or customer concerns.
• Assist the Store Manager with financial aspects and inventory management.
