Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize assembly processes for new programs at our Illinois facility. You will specify assembly equipment, estimate labor, and ensure effective employee training while focusing on lean manufacturing and cost reductions.

You will lead teams, prepare quotes, coordinate launches with suppliers, and maintain production layouts. The role requires a BS in mechanical/industrial engineering, automotive experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Past work in assembly operations in an engineering, technical, or supervisory capacity (required).
• Minimum 2 years of assembly design and operation.
• Background in customer relations, employee training, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to be well presented to the customer and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Experience with manufacturing process layout and inventory management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes for new programs.
• Prepare quotes and other customer submissions.
• Lead teams to effective solutions.
• Establish production floor layouts for lean manufacturing.
• Re-evaluate assemble-in-sequence and other operations to improve throughput and reduce costs.
• Represent Nascote at assembly plants for problem evaluation or launches.
• Prepare Engineering Change documents and follow up through departments.
• Assist production to resolve technical and manufacturing problems.
• Coordinate department responsibilities for launches or new programs.
• Provide leadership and audit processes for manufacturing effectiveness and quality.
