Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to develop processes for new programs and lead lean manufacturing initiatives. You will plan production layouts, coordinate program launches, and mentor junior engineers while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in assembly manufacturing engineering, experience with AutoCAD, and familiarity with robotics. Strong communication with suppliers and customers is essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in engineering discipline (required).
  • Experience in Automotive Industry or assembly-related field preferred.
  • Past work in manufacturing operations in an engineering/technical capacity.
  • Candidates with substantial manufacturing experience may be considered without the exact degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for new product/programs and prepare quotes/submissions.
  • Establish lean floor layouts and optimize space utilization.
  • Coordinate launches; provide leadership and audit manufacturing effectiveness.
  • Represent Nascote at assembly plants and vendor shops for problem evaluation.
  • Investigate process problems using 8D or similar methodologies; lead teams to solutions.
  • Mentor entry-level Assembly Manufacturing Engineers; ensure safety and quality.
