USA GPC Genuine Parts Company in Wisconsin seeks an Assistant Store Manager to combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and leadership to operate the NAPA retail store and support the Store Manager. This role balances hands-on sales with supervision of daily store functions to maintain high standards and strong customer care.

Overseeing counter sales, inventory/receiving, delivery coordination, and housekeeping, you will coach staff, monitor performance, and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade courses/degree preferred.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience and passion for delivering customer care.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment with strong relationship skills.
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs; ASE certifications a plus; NAPA Know How highly valued.
• Experience in parts stores, auctions, or automotive retail management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors and processes to maintain standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting.
• Handle administrative tasks and basic P&L awareness items.
• Monitor core store metrics and solve problems to improve results.
• Provide leadership oversight, coaching, and succession development as needed.
• Drive safety, asset protection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
