Job summary

USA GPC Genuine Parts Company in Jacksonville is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to apply automotive knowledge and leadership to run our NAPA retail store, while maintaining active customer-facing sales duties.

You will partner with the Store Manager on operations, inventory health, scheduling, and coaching; oversee opening/closing, safety, and performance metrics to ensure store continuity and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive service knowledge preferred.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience and customer care focus.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs in some situations; fast-paced environment.
• ASE certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels (in-store, phone, and external dealer/wholesale calls as needed).
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, facility readiness).
• Provide leadership oversight, training and performance management for flexible execution of all store functions.
• Drive adherence to safety, asset protection, operational processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
