Job summary

A luxury new car dealership in the Metrowest area of MA is seeking an experienced Automotive Office Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive accounting and will assist the Controller with financial operations without submitting month-end statements. Detailed-oriented, this role involves managing budgets, overseeing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance. A bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred, but extensive experience can suffice.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, CDK experience a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Office Manager for a luxury new car dealership in the Metrowest area of MA. The successful candidate is an experience Automotive Office Manager that is well versed in most areas of automotive accounting. This person will be responsible for helping the Controller to oversee all financial operations of the dealership; including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Office Manager will NOT be responsible to submit the month end financial statement. The dealer is open to a strong Automotive Bookkeeper ready for their next step into the Office Manager seat.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee deal posting, schedules, and reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Help to monitor and manage the dealership's budget and expenses, including tracking and reconciling financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including inventory, sales, and financial records
  • Coordinate with other departments and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Other duties as requested by the Controller

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, ideal but not mandatory
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in accounting software, CDK experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
