Job summary

Smart Autocare in Richardson, TX (in-office) seeks a Claims Adjuster for its Claims Administration team. You will verify claims, inspect repairs, and determine coverage within contract terms while coordinating with customers, inspectors, and repair facilities.

The role requires automotive repair/diagnosis experience and claims processing familiarity, with ASE certification preferred. This position emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma and at least two years college or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on automotive repair and diagnosis experience. 1 to 2 years of Claims processing experience preferred but not required
• Licensure: Current or previous ASE Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify claim information to determine if the customer's concern, diagnosis, and failure justify the repair approval within the terms of the contract.
• Verify repair costs are performed within industry standards.
• Verify repair information to determine if coverage was within the limits of the service contract.
• Interface with customers, agents, dealers to complete all investigations of claims.
• Complete a fair settlement of the claim.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Verify claims are processed following the policy and procedure established by Smart Autocare
