Job summary

Smart AutoCare is seeking a full-time Mechanical/Automotive Claims Adjuster to work in-office in Richardson, TX or Jacksonville, FL. The role interfaces with customers, inspectors, and repair facilities to determine cause, coverage, and settlement within contract terms.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with additional education or experience, and prefer 3+ years in auto repair, 1-2 years claims processing, and ASE certification. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma and at least two years college or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred
• Experience: 3 years of automotive repair and diagnosis; 1–2 years claims processing preferred
• Licensure: ASE Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Verify claim information to determine if the customer’s concern, diagnosis, and failure justify repair approval within contract terms.
• Verify repair costs within industry standards.
• Verify coverage within service contract limits.
• Interface with customers, agents, and dealers to complete investigations.
• Complete a fair settlement of the claim.
• Contribute to team by accomplishing related results.
• Verify claims are processed following Smart Autocare policy and procedures.
