Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Pay: $17.00 - $38 per hour. Pay varies based on experience and certifications, with potential for additional incentives.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of guest vehicles, starting with comprehensive training. You will be an essential team member, committed to delivering a 5-star guest experience and ensuring safe, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
• Obtain guest approval for work based on diagnosis and maintain a clean work area.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive vehicles and safely use shop equipment to pick up inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver License
• Own basic automotive tools or participate in tool purchase program
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand long periods, lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification in A1-A8
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate/degree
