Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, based on experience. Additional incentives available.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you'll perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on guest vehicles, starting with comprehensive training to develop your skills. You will be an essential team member, ensuring safe, reliable transportation for our guests and delivering 5-star guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
• Secure customer approval before performing work based on diagnosis; maintain a clean work area.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive vehicles and use shop equipment safely for inventory pickup.
• Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in tool purchase program
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand long periods, lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification in at least one of A1-A8
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate/degree
