Job summary

Magna Steyr in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize processes, lead line setup, and support production startups and operations.

You will implement MES-driven changes, manage fixtures and Atlas Copco tooling, and collaborate with IT, SCM, and Quality to deliver safe, high-quality manufacturing.

Bachelor or Master in relevant engineering, 3–5 years automotive experience required or preferred, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years of automotive industry experience.
• Master’s degree in Automotive/Mechanical/Manufacturing with 1-2 years automotive industry experience (preferred).
• Experience working in a production environment and manufacturing process engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills including root-cause analysis and creative solutions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Lead line balancing and ensure station readiness for projects.
• Configure and maintain fixtures and Atlas Copco tooling integration.
• Provide training and support to production staff.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
