Job summary

Modesto Subaru is seeking an Automotive Internal Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department in Modesto, CA. This is not a traditional customer-facing role; your primary customers will be our internal teams, coordinating service work for our new and pre-owned inventory.

You’ll write and track repair orders, check in vehicles for PDIs, coordinate sublet work, and communicate results across Sales, Service, Parts, and technicians.

Qualifications

• Understanding of automotive service processes and terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact between the Service and Sales departments for internal vehicle work.
• Write, track, update, and close repair orders for new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Check in new vehicles and coordinate pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Manage PDI paperwork and ensure all required work is properly documented.
• Write repair orders for used vehicle inspections, reconditioning, and approved repairs.
• Coordinate sublet repairs for both the new and pre-owned vehicle departments.
• Communicate inspection results, repair needs, costs, approvals, delays, and completion times.
• Work closely with technicians to provide accurate repair descriptions and clear instructions.
