Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC seeks an Industrial Engineer to support plant performance, manufacturing systems, and customer requirements across all shifts. You will conduct time and motion studies, optimize processes, and drive lean initiatives while safeguarding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include line balancing, SOPs, root-cause analysis, and APQP/NPI activities to ensure efficient handoffs and continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering.
• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, cycle times, and line balance to optimize throughput.
• Design workstations layouts and standard work instructions.
• Conduct time studies and capacity utilization analyses.
• Develop SOPs, process flow diagrams, and operator balance charts.
• Investigate quality and efficiency concerns to identify root causes.
• Lead corrective actions to improve scrap, yield, and OEE.
• Monitor scrap, rework, cycle time, and downtime trends.
• Maintain routing, labor standards, and layout drawings.
• Support audits with process data and engineering docs.
• Ensure processes meet IATF 16949, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Lead Kaizen, 5S, and Lean initiatives plant-wide.
