Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group seeks an Industrial Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, apply Lean methodologies, and collaborate across design, quality, supply chain, and operations to boost productivity and quality. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience with discrete parts.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experienced with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Solid working knowledge of machining, assembly, automation and other manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or similar).
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) implementation experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate and deliver Lean Transformational strategies and tactics; including projects in 6S, Model Cell development, pull systems, etc.
• Design and refine production workspaces and process flows to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations
• Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and work instructions for production operations, while implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, processes and equipment
• Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning to balance workloads, and develop and maintain corresponding SOP’s and process documentation
• Train and support operators, technicians and production associates in best practices to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to confirm product specifications, verify drawings, validate product quality and maintain effective production standards
• Assist with quoting special projects and provide technical product expertise, calculations and support to customers and sales team
• Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and reliability
• Facilitate and/or participate in transformational Kaizen events
