Job summary

DARCARS of Tenafly is hiring an Automotive Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for customers in the showroom. You will greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate department, answer basic inquiries, and manage calls with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include data entry into the prospect tracking system, maintaining the switchboard, and supporting sales staff with routine clerical tasks. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Speak clearly and pleasantly on the telephone; project professionalism to callers and customers.
• Strong communication with customers and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Able to understand and follow instructions; converse comfortably with customers.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Pass pre-employment background screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and assess visit purpose.
• Direct customers to the proper department and inform staff of waiting customers.
• Answer basic inquiries; route complex questions to appropriate person.
• Enter data into prospect tracking system.
• Manage switchboard.
• Communicate with callers professionally; minimize hold time.
• Take thorough messages with caller details.
• Relay messages to the right parties promptly.
• Provide basic information to callers.
• Update and distribute the company phone roster.
• Perform clerical and limited accounting duties as assigned.
• Serve as showroom greeter.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Issue receipts for sales/service when applicable.
