Job summary

Smart Start is seeking a hands-on Service Technician in Bridgeport, WV to install, service, troubleshoot, and remove vehicle-based electronic and alcohol-monitoring equipment. Experience with 12-volt automotive electronics such as remote starters, stereos, GPS systems, and backup cameras is a strong fit.

Training is provided to become proficient with our equipment. The role emphasizes customer service, compliance, and safe, efficient on-site work with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide phone support to ensure satisfaction.
• Make daily or weekly reminder calls to customers with upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities as needed.
• Manage weekly work hours (≤ 40 hours/week) and communicate effectively with management.
