Job summary

The Sherwin‑Williams Automotive Branch in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee daily operations at Store #799133. You will manage scheduling, customer service, sales, merchandising, inventory, reporting, and safety while developing and motivating branch staff to meet goals.

Responsibilities include building sales strategies, analyzing market metrics, managing credit and accounts, coordinating with vendors, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, and supporting sales

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership roles, supervising others, or leading teams.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 70 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
• Implement branch market plan based on market conditions, branch mission and financial/budget objectives.
• Conduct research and analyze financial and market metrics as needed.
• Perform credit investigations and analysis on new and existing accounts.
• Work with outside vendors to identify and place orders for new product purchases per established policy.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations.
• Maintain branch inventory levels and conduct physical inventory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security.
• Maintain outstanding branch condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting as required.
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Create schedules and monitor staffing.
• Assist with daily bank deposits.
• Respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints.
• Support Sales Reps in developing and targeting new business.
