Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Branch Assistant Manager to work with the Branch Manager in Richmond, VA, overseeing operations in an Automotive Finishes branch. This full-time role covers customer service, sales, merchandising, inventory, finances, and staff supervision in a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include market planning, driving sales, product knowledge, compliance, and staff development, with focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of work experience in retail, sales or customer service.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing branch market plans based on market conditions and financial objectives.
• Support strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Build and maintain knowledge of products to recommend to customers.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Verify customer orders and transactions are completed and documented accurately.
• Maintain branch inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
• Support employee training, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints.
• Assist in determining staffing needs and develop work schedules.
• Analyze management and financial reports, including P&L.
• Assist with daily bank deposits.
