Job summary

ifm is seeking a self-motivated Sales Engineer based in our Detroit, Michigan office to manage existing and new customer relationships across the territory. You will leverage strong technical acumen and business insight to define improvements and drive bottom-line results for automotive plants and automation integrators.

You will engage with customers, map their challenges to solutions, navigate stakeholders, and present high-quality automation concepts.

Qualifications

5+ years of related technical sales experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels within an organization.
Ability to sell in remote or face-to-face situations.
Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-discipline with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to learn about their business and initiatives for improvement.
Implement a sales process that clearly defines the customer's challenge and solution concept.
Identify decision-makers and stakeholders in the sales process.
Leverage technical product knowledge to provide high-quality automation solutions.
Communicate with customers via digital channels and in-person meetings on large projects.
Collaborate with Sales team to leverage expertise and develop growth.
