Job summary

ifm efector, inc. seeks a self-motivated Sales Engineer to join our Atlanta-based team. Reporting to the Southeast Regional Sales Director, this role will take over an established customer base and expand new opportunities with automation customers in the region.

You will leverage technical knowledge to define improvements, build relationships with machine builders and manufacturers, and help drive bottom-line results through value-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of related technical sales experience preferred.
• Engineering or Business degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels within an organization.
• Ability to sell in remote or face-to-face situations.
• Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
• Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Engage with existing customers and potential customers to learn about their business and initiatives.
• Implement a sales process that defines customer challenges and a solution concept.
• Identify decision-makers and stakeholders in a sale.
• Leverage product and application knowledge to provide high-quality automation solutions.
• Use MS Teams and phone to communicate with customers.
• Conduct in-person meetings to showcase new technologies and address operational challenges.
