Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to install, optimize, and support automated manufacturing systems across injection molding and ferrule posting areas.

You’ll apply mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to keep automation running, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver reliable production. Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 2–4 years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with automated equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs; basic testing and diagnostics.
• 2D/3D CAD reading ability for schematics and drawings.
• Proactive problem solver with good communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and optimize automation in molding and ferrule areas.
• Monitor processes; adjust for quality and consistency.
• Provide first-line support and escalate complex repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Read and update technical documentation and schematics.
• Assist with PLC/HMI programming, testing, and diagnostics.
• Use 2D/3D CAD drawings during installation and troubleshooting.
• Assist with training for operators and technicians on new/modified systems.
• Collaborate across units on automation projects from concept to implementation.
• Occasionally operate automation equipment for training, validation, or production needs.
