Job summary

Rich Products Corporation in Romeoville, IL is seeking an Automation Technician to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain food processing and packaging equipment in a USDA production environment. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic skills and a willingness to work any shift.

Qualifications

• Five years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proper and safe use of hand and power tools, and working on machinery.
• Willingness to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot and repair of stacking, bagging, check-weighing, UPC bar coding, case erectors and conveyor equipment.
• Dismantling and re-assembly of equipment to perform repairs, cleaning and lubrication.
• Testing, troubleshooting and repair of 110/230/460 volt electrical equipment including motors, starters, relays, timers, panels, breakers, conduit and wiring.
• Read and interpret Electrical Control schematics for troubleshooting.
• Minor programming and troubleshooting of VFDs and PLCs.
• Understands and adheres to established safety programs (e.g., lock out/tag out, ladder safety).
