Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical schooling preferred.
• Three or more years in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• High level of judgment required for this role.
• Knowledge of power and hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to communicate professionally with all plant personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic repairs and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Follow OSHA and GMP rules, keep a clean, orderly work area and use PPE.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures; ensure preventive maintenance is conducted.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, cutting and soldering using electric and gas equipment.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Duties may include pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, installing and balancing new equipment, and repairing facilities.
