Job summary

Jobot seeks an Automation Technician for our Franklin Park, IL facility. The role is on-site, full-time, with a focus on PLC troubleshooting, servo drives, HMIs, and electrical control systems across a highly automated food-manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and calibration of 480V/240V/24V systems, along with safety compliance and collaboration with QA, Sanitation, and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, or related field preferred; relevant alternatives considered.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC logic, inputs/outputs, HMIs, sensors, interlocks, safety circuits, and communication faults on automated production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair 480V three-phase, 240V, and 24V control circuits.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace servos, servo drives, encoders, photo-eyes, motion sensors, VFDs, and other automation components.
• Document work orders, preventive maintenance, and root-cause findings.
