Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Engineer to maintain the reliability and performance of automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. This hands‑on role emphasizes system health, troubleshooting, and on‑site technical execution, aligned with maintenance engineering and lead technician profiles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in a related field.
• 1 year minimum hands‑on PLC diagnostics (prefer Allen‑Bradley).
• 1 year minimum with VFDs; diagnose speed/torque issues.
• Experience with AC/DC motors and automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health of conveyors, lifts, robotic vehicles, motors, sensors, and PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues to prevent production downtime.
• Document maintenance using CMMS software and internal tools.
• Provide technical escalation support during disruptions and downtime events.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and technical teams to restore performance.
• Ensure OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety and company standards are met.
