Job summary

Rittal LLC seeks an Automation System Service & Application Engineer to provide technical support, system integration, and application development for Rittal automation systems. You will engage with clients to understand automation needs and ensure successful implementation of RAS products such as WT, MT, MTS, EHRT, and Perforex.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote troubleshooting, installation and configuration, and training for clients.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years in Controls Engineering or CNC machines.
Knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum, electrical systems up to 460 V.
CAD/AutoCAD experience for importing docs into RAS software.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, DCS and automation tech.
German language skills a plus.
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel).
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support to customers and sales engineers for RAS machines and related products.
Offer on-site and remote troubleshooting and support for automation systems.
Assist with integration of Rittal automation products into existing systems.
Perform installations and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnose faults, repair and implement corrective actions promptly.
Conduct client and end-user training on Rittal automation systems.
Assist with setup and demonstrations at trade shows and events.
Travel up to 80% to North America, Canada, Mexico and Germany; coordinate with HQ and partners.
