Job summary

Southern Controls Corp is seeking an Automation Applications Engineer to join our technical team. You will work with leading automation technologies to solve complex customer challenges and collaborate with manufacturers and end users across multiple industries.

Responsibilities include pre-sales demonstrations, BOM development, post-sales startup and troubleshooting, on-site support, and training for customers and coworkers. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

3+ years in automation/controls industry
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, motion control, robotics, networking, safety, vision, IIoT, drives and servos

Responsibilities

Provide pre-sales application support including product demonstrations and BOM development.
Provide post-sales startup, troubleshooting and system optimization support.
On-site product technical support and office/email support.
Deliver product training for customers and colleagues.
Collaborate with Outside Sales to solve applications.
