Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking an Application Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for automation and control products across an assigned territory. You will collaborate with account managers to meet sales goals and drive solution adoption.

Responsibilities include delivering training, presenting solutions, participating in seminars and trade shows, and occasionally performing billable on-site services such as VFD startups and PLC programming. Travel is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering from four-year college or university.
5+ years of appropriate experience in automation and control.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel often in the assigned territory.
In-depth knowledge of Automation and Control products including VFDs, PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA Software, HMI, Networking, Sensors, Motion, Robotics, and Motor Control.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and technical support to internal and external customers.
Co-develop and implement strategic business plan to support market share growth for Automation and Control Suppliers.
Develop and present Automation and Control solutions and conduct product trainings in territory.
Launch new Automation and Control products to sales personnel with training and demos.
Occasionally perform billable service work (VFD startups, servo tuning, HMI development, PLC programming).
